Surface technologies in the medtech sector – An overview from implant-associated infections to state-of-the-art of surface treatments, including potential energy-saving opportunities and future quality and regulatory requirements.
Apart from the need to achieve the ideal finish or perfect surface for medical devices, many manufacturers and suppliers are facing major challenges in terms of standards and regulatory requirements and optimising value creation with state-of-the-art technology. Especially for a Swiss medtech industry active in global markets, it is important to keep monitor economic efficiency in addition to developing outstanding and innovative solutions.
The event on 18 November offers participants an overview of the latest surface treatment technologies and processes, upcoming regulatory challenges, and suitable measurement and testing methods to determine the cleanliness of medical devices.
The traumatologist guest lecture on implant-associated infections, and possible causes and concepts for prevention is the ideal start to this exciting event.
