Swiss Medtech Webinar

Setting credible climate targets

The Climate and Innovation Act (CIA) stipulates that all companies in Switzerland must achieve the net-zero target by 2050. But what exactly do the CIA and the ordinance require? Raphael Bucher, Head of the Climate Policy Section at the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), explains what obligations companies must fulfil according to the CIA.

Calls for credible climate targets originate from more sources than the regulatory authorities. Increasingly, many large companies are joining the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI) – and also demand ambitious commitments from their suppliers. Holger Hoffmann-Riem from Go for Impact introduces the SBTI to you and indicates which companies would benefit from participating.

In keeping with the Swiss Medtech motto «From the industry for the industry», we have invited sustainability managers from an experienced medtech company to speak about their experience in developing climate targets.

Target group

(Future) sustainability managers and employees of companies who want to set climate targets, or for whom climate protection is becoming increasingly important in their day-to-day business. The event will be offered in German on 19 June and in French at a later date. It is free of charge for members of Swiss Medtech and ASD. All other interested parties can register for a fee of CHF 60. Please send us your most pressing questions at time of registration.
